This is the point from where the steep climb actually starts and continues for the next two kilometers. This is the most difficult part of the trek.nnThe views are absolutely amazing.nnDo carry your meals, some dry fruits, energy bars and an empty water bottle. Water is available there in plenty. After I returned from the Valley of Flowers trip a few days back I tried to mark all the important points in that trekking route. For reasons unknown to me all but one entry has been approved. I have not given up; will keep trying. If my other entries are approved it will help the trekkers a lot.nnWhen you start your trek for the Valley of Flowers you have to first enlist yourself and pay the fees (INR 150 for 3 days for Indians as in July 2018) at the entry gate, which is roughly 750 metre from Ghangaria. After that there is a moderate slope of 1 km. Then you will cross the river bridge shown in the picture. After that there is a steep climb of 1 km. The final 1 km to the beginning of the Valley of Flowers will be again moderate. For an average trekker this 3 km will take 2.5 - 3.0 hrs.
