This is the birth place of famous patriot and poet Kazi Najrul Islam. Located at Churulia village of West Burdwan District of West Bengal. But the house of this famous poet needs proper maintenance.

Kazi Nazrul Islam was a Bengali poet, writer, musician, anti-colonial revolutionary and the national poet of Bangladesh. Popularly known as Nazrul, he produced a large body of poetry and music with themes that included religious devotion and rebellion against oppression.kazi nazrul Islam is also known bidrohi kobi. His nickname dukumia.
