A beautiful fort located on the Kannur coast.. This is a major tourist attraction of Kannur... Simple yet magnificent this fort has a 500 year old history from being constructed by Dutch to have been controlled by Muslim rulers of Kannur royalty and also holding some portion. Of East India company and British army units... Must visit if in Kannur...

Can spend some good times with your friends. The view from there is good. No ticket charges or anything. New Sound and Light programs has been installed which helps you to know more about this fort!

Super spot for spending a wonderful evening with friends and family. An old fort which is completely made from stones.n·tIt’s very clean and scenic.n·tEasily accessible from the town, yet a completely different atmosphere where you can rest your mind at ease and calm.n·tThe fort is in the Cannanore Cantonment area. It is fairly well preserved as a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.n·tA good beach view and a wonderful green grasses and shades!n·tEntry is free you have to pay for the parking.n·tTHE Overall experiences are good for menSelection of place and where to travel is our personal, but you can take a look.

Revisited after a decade. Great place in Kannur. Located besides the contonement area. The fort originally constructed by Portuguese people around 1500 AD. The canon and ammunition is still looking good. ud83dudc4d

Its a small fort, you will like the smallness because you can cover entire fort. It will take you back to three hundred years ago. You can imagine how the soldiers were living, how the Portuguese dutch must have come through the sea..should visit once.
