Nerul Post office is located just aside of Nerul bus depot. Thane of Maharashtra state. It is a sub office (S.O.). They have changed the timings of the Post office to 9:00 am to 1:00 pm because of Covid. They close exactly at 1:00 pm and won’t entertain you after that as the door is shut.nAs you enter, there are two lines; one for general enquire (people stand in a queue on the slope) and post and the second line for speed post. ( people stand in line near the steps) To collect a speed post delivery that was missed at home. You have to stand in the second queue and as you enter the post office go to the counter on the extreme right and share your delivery tracking number with them. They will ask for your id proof and give the package to you. Try going as early as you can to avoid the queue.

Post office is situated near to bus stand and Janta Market.Always short of staff.It is very difficult to get the things done.Every counter has a long queue.nSome times the connectivity failure and staff shortage becomes very difficult situation.nThey have Aadhar updatipn etc which is carried out with prior appointment subject to availability of staff.nThey also issue Railway tickets from a dedicated Window.nThe post office is situated on the main road there is always parking problem.nThough it is in a good premises but looking to increasing number of customers a better spacious compound/ premises can be arranged for.

I had to encash few KVPs of small values which were purchased from time to time by my grand father in a remote rural Post office in UP, where he lived, in my and my mother's joint name.nThe Staff at this post office was very cooperative and helpful. I always got the encashment timely within a period of one month or so after verification from the issuing office. Services of the original issuing office were also prompt and without undue delay.
