Sri Anandavalli Udanurai Arunanandiswarar Temple, also known as Kumaran Temple, is the oldest temple dating back to the 1000th century AD. It is located on Kumaran Kovil Street, Niravi Village, Karaikal District, Pondicherry. Evidence of this was found in 1989 when 11 precious idols were found in the temple. The temple was demolished in the year 1989 and the Kumaran Temple was rebuilt and the Mahakumbabhishekam was conducted. Correction blessed by Murugan Adiyar Thirumuruga Kripananda Warrier.
