The complex known as Valmiki Ashram in Bithoor is located about a kilometer inside from the main approach to Bithoor's Brahmma Ghat. A massive gate on the road announces presence of the Valmiki Ashram. It is basically a memorial to Valmiki Ashram built by Nana Jee Peshwa who was interned in Bithoor after the 1857 Indian Mutiny. There are no Ashram like activities in the complex. There are a few small modest buildings supposedly marking the location where Lord Rama's sons Luv and Kush were born and had education from Sage Valmiki. About 10 feet deep pit, the point where Sita Jee is suppose to have entered the Pataal Lok is located next to a memorial built by Peshwa. The place is very quiet and located on the bank of Ganga River. It does not seem to attract many tourists or even Ram Bhagats or even modern claimants of Valmiki's heritage.It is like a side attraction and minor pilgrimage centre for the people visiting Bithoor.

I have visited here few days ago, this is a very beautiful place, and you can bring your wishes to god and it would be done by, this is a very wide area temple and after visiting here you can feel our culture and Hindus creations
