Auks farm is in a quiet and serene village. We stayed in the farm just after Christmas. It is a perfect place to get some clean air and view of beautiful landscapes all around away from stresses of city life. The cottages and washrooms at Auks Farm are beautifully decorated and clean. The food is home cooked and amazing with offer of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food including authentic Nepalese cuisine. The best part of this experience was interaction with the wonderful and friendly hosts who made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We had chit chat by the fire in the evenings and music sessions which we thoroughly enjoyed. We went for walks with our hosts in and around the farm that helped us to know more about the farm and the area around. This village is great for quiet long as well as short walks as per individual preference with friendly and smiling people around. There are undulating vegetable farms, bamboo vegetation and small streams around Auks Farm. The area was perfect for short but exciting walks for my son and mother-in-law alike. One can also go for longer walks to the old monastery that is located on a mountain above the Farm. The area does not have any wild animals around, which makes these walks safe too. Auks Farm is one place where you want to visit time and again.

Comfy homestay run by locals with a lot of heart. Come here to take it easy, go for walks in the village and the hills, stare at the hills and the trees, and engage with the community. Ask for local Nepalese cuisine.

Visiting Auks Farm had been on my travel plans for a long time, come April, I was taking an impromptu trip to the Hills, and that's when I was welcomed with the warm hospitality of Ashish/Kalyan/Bijaya/Sushmita and Rayden at the Farm.nnReaching here was relatively easier, booking a cab from Siliguri/NJP and within a couple of hours you reach the Farm, short ride to enjoy the views of the Teesta.nnThe cottages at the farm has been very thoughtfully designed and developed, they give you the homely atmosphere and once you have a quick tour of the farm, you mark out your favourite spots. The Gazebo is perfect for a lazy book session with a cool breeze blowing, you'd almost be tempted to indulge in an afternoon siesta.nnWith clear skies at night, this makes up for a good night to sleep beneath the stars and has a good view of Kalimpong with those city lights blinking in the dark, soothing to the eyes.nnFood is served with the same love that you'd experience at home, simple but tasteful which was one of the key highlights of the stay for me.nnThis is a place perfect for unwinding and doing nothing as perfectly phrased by KK, and you'd never feel out of place here even if you went travelling Solo, because the Hosts speak about the several nuances from their lives about building up the place, to the traditions and values of bringing their dream alive once at a time.nnSpeaking with the hosts, gives you an entire different perspective of life in the hills, and the what took them to build up a place like this. You can go for small walks around the farms and or can have them organise Picnics by the Teesta/or a short trek. When you leave here you'd be a hell lot richer in experiences.nnSpecial shoutout to Ashish/Bijaya/KK/Sushmita to having built and running such an enterprise.

When i think about my trip to Auks farm, words fail me. The pictures and comments do no justice to this slice of haven, but let me try-n1. Food - There was no cuisine that the hosts dint have on offer. Yes, its home grown and home cooked, but i can assure you that the food is at par (and mostly better) than any hotel/restaurant you can think of. Be it Momos, Italian , Korean, the soups, and my oh my the salads. I am still here and its 11PM in the night, and i cant wait for tomorrow’s spread (Thai. Yeeeeep)n2. The hosts - warm, authentic, sweet, approachable. All the good things. We were working from here and they gave us the space. But now that we got free, we are so happy we met Ashish bhaiya, Sushmita and KK. Its a warm fuzzy feeling.n3. The place - clean, spacious and beautiful. All day maybe about 20 ppl cross the road that passes from the main gate..its untouched, gorgeous and soooo deserving of love.n4. Things to do - beautiful landscapes- we went for a run everyday. We did a 24km walk with Ashish bhaiya, and..what a guy. Packed us Korean food, great conversations, super sweet and super real. I hear there are shorter treks as well. There’s Kalimpong(famous for cheese i had at the farm today -yum!!) and rafting.nBut honestly, come here for the sounds of the bird, the beautiful hosting family and, if its not clear yet - the food. Its a great experience. ❤ufe0fnOh and Airtel 4G works great here.

We had a couple of days to kill before work started in Darjeeling, and Auks Farm was the perfect getaway in that sense!. Surrounded by greenery and secluded, but at the same time well connected by cellular network. The owners KK & Sushmita were so warm and friendly. They really made us feel at home! Theres lots to do around Auks Farm, but since it was a short trip we couldn't really explore the place. On our next visit, we surely plan to do some trekking and visit the surrounding monastery and flower garden. Totally recommend this place for anyone looking to put their feet up and breathe fresh air in beautiful surroundings :)
