Noryang Tibetan Kitchen

My partner and I stumbled onto this place while wandering through Darjeeling. We'd been facing considerable stomach issues due to the food which seemed to be over spiced and oily to cater to local mass tourism. The food at Noryang was light, fresh (prepared before our eyes) and very very tasty. Most importantly, it wasn't a greasy, spicy mess that immediately sent us in search of antacids. The service was not quick but we were content to sit in the cozy cafe watching the lovely, friendly staff bustle about. It's a tiny cafe and only seemed to have 4 people working who all served, cooked, washed dishes and prepared the bill in turns. A lovely oasis of simple, well cooked food at very reasonable prices. A brilliant restaurant! Run by two elderly sisters, this is undoubtedly the finest Tibetan restaurant in town. Their noodles and bread are handmade, and everything is so, so delicious. Even the decor is minimal and tastefully don't. Everything on the menu is amazing, but the fried rice, she faley, syapta and Tibetan tea are personal favourites.

If you think of traditional Tibetan food then walk into this place . It meets all your needs. The foods and the soup that were served to us were so yummy. The price are so nominal. Hospitality is at its best. Taste marvelous. Must visit place .

Amazing amazing place! Food was so delicious. Fresh and hot prepared right in front of you. The only thing better than the food was the hospitality. Definitely recommend if you are in darjeeling.
