Fantastic food with prompt service. If one has to taste genuine Tibetan food, this is the go-to place in Darjeeling. Lodged in the Fancy Market building, it's a tad difficult to find but locals throng this place throughout the day.

Blind Date Restaurant is located inside the Fancy Market (top floor; just after the Gang Jong restaurant and opposite to the Kathmandu Kitchen), specialized in Tibetan cuisine. The owner aunty is very kind and friendly. She will help you in deciding your order. If you're unfamiliar with any food item, aunty will give you a brief idea about it (ingredients, cooking process etc.). She won our hearts ud83eudd70nWe absolutely loved the Beef Shapta-Tingmo combo! Awesome beef. And veggie was great also. Had a great gravy with the food also. Nice vibe with some music just don’t speak much English here but very good service also. Really enjoyed the Tibet beef. I ordered veggies with beef and beef Tai-po and beef dumplings. The yellow do not get, at least I didn’t like it, very bland. The rest of food was awesome and so devious. Glad happy valley homestay told me about this place. A true local food from recipes of Tibet. Kinda of hard to find but if find fancy market it’s on the top floor.
