So, even after so many negative reviews I trusted myself and my choice, and it didn't go wrong. I opted for normal room. It seemed to be deluxe. Spacious, clean and with all the amenities. The brother at reception was very good and hospitable, so was uncle. It's a good place for solo traveler as I travelled solo. Moreover try to accept hills and their people as they are.

Overall the stay was good. I booked the Attic Suite with Roof top at 5th floor. The view was awesome. Room was big and clean. The interiors have been designed nicely. The place is just a glimpse of Tibet and Tibettian culture. But one should not expect a luxury hotel like facilities from a home stay. There can be delayed response from reception to provide service, it may happen that no one would be available to pick up phone at reception, breakfast can be delayed. I experienced all these issues during my stay. And these are all the areas of improvement they might have to focus on. I do think their service staff must be well trained to serve the customers better ( in a proactive manner). I believe Snowlion Homestay has the potential to be known for its exceptional service.
