The man sitting at reception does not have the basic etiquettes to speak to a patient. Being rude to a patient will bring no harm to him but will greatly tarnish Dr Gupta's image.

Your reception staff is totally helpless. Rude staff. No sense of responsibility to talk to patients. Professionally you might be best in your field but your staff will make you down in future.
