Batal Dhaba

So this is a very popular dhaba or stop over if you are driving via this route. Probably 100 Km in radius you would not find any stop over like this or stagnant human presence. So enjoy your maggi. Sometime they have petrol refill also. They are an old uncle aunty supporting this and have saved quite a few lives also.

This Dhaba is a must stop for all travelers traversing the Gramphoo - Batal stretch. You can always find hot food and a very hospitable Chacha and Chachi with their ever smiling faces welcoming all. The surroundings are surreal and out of the world with Chandra river flowing by majestically. They offer accommodation as well. They also have a satellite telephone in case you need to connect with someone as no other network is available there

Everyone who passes by this place is bound to stop here and have famous daal chawal of this dhaba. Chacha chachi chandra dhaba is very famous among people of Himachal pradesh and those who visit spiti or chandratal lake. It is situated in Batal which is the basecamp for chandratal lake.

Tent available for night, 16 km from chandertaal lake, only place to live in before the lake on kunzum pass and chhatru. If you are nearby, stay here don't take risk to move further in the evening.
