Chandrataal Lake

This place is not less than heaven. Moon shaped lake so the name is Chandratal. Parking is a km away and need to walk to reach to the lake. Freezing cold winds blow here so do carry warm clothes. Lake perimeter is 2.5 km and can take around 2 3 hours at you own place. Camps are located around 2 kms away from lake and no camping near to lake is allowed.

Another marvel and beauty. There is decent bit of trekking involved and I would suggest do it early in the morning of reach the lake around sunset time. The beauty gets added. Evening is suggested if you are staying where all the commercial camps are! Although, I would highly recommend spending a night while you are doing chandrataal lake. You are not allowed to camp here but I have seen people set up camps near the lake. I think it could be one helluva adventure.
