One of the best marvel of Civil Engineering in India. The South Portal of Atal Tunnel is at Solang Valley end. The straight road that comes from Manali will bring you here. The Security Personnel at duty are friendly and they'll stop you and give you important instructions before you enter into the tunnel. They'll ask you not to stop anywhere inside the tunnel and straight exit it from North Portal without over-speeding your vehicle inside the tunnel.

One of best thing happened to this area and people. It saves lots of time and lessen the risk of crossing dangerous roads of Rohtangpass. Its engineering marvel. You will understand that only after seeing and crossing it in reality. The tunnel is nicely made and its 2 lane with distance of 9.02 km. It will take only 15-20 mins to cross the majestic mountain. Salute the workers and engineers behind making this happen. Will visit again for sure. The area before after crossing the tunnel is totally different.

One of the best and beautiful natural place.nThis is tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh, India. At a length of 9.02 km, it is the longest tunnel above 10,000 feet in the world.Entering through the south portal and riding about almost 10 km inside the tunnel and while exiting through the North Port a new world is completely welcomes you with fully snow ❄ufe0f covered mountains.nAnd this tunnel is so much helpful in the route to Leh that reduces upto 46 km.While taking this route Rohtang La can be skipped.

An engineering marvel! Great to skip the blockades caused by snow in winters in Rohtang pass. Traces of corruption are visible already with speed limit led boards & exit signal lights already failing most probably due to poor quality.
