Cheaper than bank rates. I went to Thomas Cook to get INR converted to AED. Very helpful.nJust FYI, If you have an ICICI account you can get converted currencies in cash. Axis Bank doesn't do Forex. I have Kotak bank they don't give cash in hand. They instead give a Forex card and top it up with expected amount. However, when you take the card abroad and withdraw, there's an additional amount that's cut. For example, if I had to withdraw 20 Dirhams in Dubai from Forex card, it will cost me additional 7 Dirhams. But if I used the card like a debit/credit card to make a payment directly I won't lose anything.
