This is one of the best institute of eastern region of India. It developed more than 130 rice varieties for different ecology. It also did excellent in the field of climate change, natural resource management, plant protection, rice physiology, biochemistry and agricultural engineering. Loved this place. A must visit for rice farmers and educationists.

Premier institute for rice research of Indian council of agriculture research, this is located at eastern cuttack of Odisha on the way of cuttack paradeep national highway. The institute purely works for rice crop. Scientists here developing promising rice genotypes which helps to farmer of the whole world. Agriculture & life sciences students are coming here regularly for their dissertation program & many students are joining here for their doctoral & post doctoral degree.
