Nagai Madarasi Mata who bows down and bestows gracennThe Portuguese were among the most important people who caused the name of Naga District, one of the border areas of India, to be pronounced globally after the Chola period.nnThe Portuguese were responsible for the establishment of many glorious churches, including the world-famous Velankanni Holy Mother of Health Cathedral, in an area where Buddhism, vegetarianism and Vaishnavism were widespread.nnIn that sense, the Naga, built by the Portuguese and crowned with glory, is the edict of the Holy Mother of God. This amendment on the second beach road of Naga dates back to AD. Built by Portuguese sailors in the 16th century.nnபுனிதSaint Mother Mother who bows her head and bestows gracennNaga, possessed by the Portuguese, came under the control of the Dutch in 1660 AD. As the Portuguese emphasized the worship of the Mother, the personality of the Dutch, who did not accept idolatry, posed a great threat to the cult.nnAt that time, the then administrators of the Madrasi Mata Temple feared that the statue of St. Nagarasana Mata Madarasimata might be desecrated by the Dutch who were not devoted to the Mata. Following this, the Catholic Christians who lived in Naga came together and planned to hide the statue of the Mother of God.nAccordingly, a wooden coffin was made to carry the relics of the Blessed Virgin Mary inside. Their plan was to put the statue of the Mother in that box and take it somewhere else overnight and hide it. Accordingly, one night they went to the Mother's Correction with a freshly made wooden coffin and tried to praise the Mother and place her relics inside the coffin.nnHowever, the box, which was made in an emergency, was slightly smaller than the height at which the Mother Church could fully absorb it. Thus, the frustrated temple administrators prepared another box in the morning and left the statue of the Mother on top of the box, which lacked height.nnADVERTISEMENTnnNagai St. Madras Mata ChurchnnWhen they came back to Mother's Correction the next morning, the glory that had taken place there astonished and filled everyone spiritually. The reason was that the statue of the mother, which had been left on top of the box on the first night, was in the box the next morning.nnFor the devotees who were diligently trying to protect her idol, the miracle took place on the day when Mother Madrasi Mata tilted her head to the right and performed innovation.nnOverjoyed at this, the temple administration took the relics of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Naga and hid them in the middle of a field surrounded by fields near Ammapettai.nnufffcNagai St. Madras Mata ChurchnnMany years later, by the grace of the Holy Mother of God, the Mother of God was brought back to Naga and rebuilt. Since then, the temple has been a spiritual symbol of immortality, a symbol of the miracles performed by the Virgin Mary through her son, and a spiritual healing fragrance for many devotees.
