Best place to feel the time of our ancestors. The time behind us, the time that's why we live now, feel ourselves as a human. The evolution of ourselves. This place push you to know more about the world, our existence. And also they have high levels of security. But only one thing is missing that if their was an AV for describe us of our past and describe us all the history of those precious things then it will be more interesting to see and especially for children and those people who don't have any idea of history.

Great and informative place to visit. It has different sections exhibiting fossils , skeletons of prehistoric animals, historical architecture and statues, various paintings textile instances ..some of the rooms were under construction and some of were closed...But it's a very good experience over-all... Also great place for students and children.

One of the best museum I've visited. Maintained properly and clean inside. I can proudly suggest to visit this place to someone who is visiting Kolkata for the first time. I've visiting here from my childhood and still I get mesmerized with the setup.thank you to the authority.

Massive collection of items. Special focus on Zoology, Fossils of the Jurassic Era and beyond + a lot of Biology such as migratory birds with maps and flying routes, aquatic animals in and around the Subcontinent etc.nnThe issue begins with maintenance, lack of any form of sanitation or drinking water. The walls are crumbling, the paints are chips on the floor. The Egypt collection is below average at best.nnThe museum to undergo renovation starting March 2021 for 1 year with staggered closures of sections, so ideally should be a good place to visit post mid 2022.

Well actually it was my first visit and I enjoyed a lot. I saw the mummy and many other things and especially the sculptures and I was very astonished. All the things here are written in detail to understand everything.I recommend everyone to visit this place. ud83dude42
