Beautiful place!❤ufe0f Very well maintained and guarded. Air-conditioned and free of cost. Gives off a whole different vibe. The art is phenomenal. ✨ Must-visit for anyone who loves all different forms of art, especially the Indian ones.

If you are interested in art and culture you must visit this museum. It has an excellent collection of all the famous artists' work from Bengal. I love the fact how they have made a separate space contributed to the artist and a brief introduction about them. A museum is never completed without its share of history. In Ghare Baire you can find a lot of pictures of old Calcutta , how the city looked back then , how people used to dress up and how life was happening back at that time all of these are beautifully sealed in those pictures.nThis museum has 3 floors. The ground floor has a beautiful lawn. The gallery at the ground floor is dedicated to Satyajit Ray , capturing various moments of his life and work. The 1st and the 2nd floor has all the art works and old Calcutta photographs.nIt not possible to see all the pictures in one day, if you see everything carefully and with an interest to learn.

This is now an important place to know about history and heritage of indian art and culture. Not too busy or crowded. Located in a very easy to identify place in central Kolkata, Dalhousie square makes it easy to go. However parking might be a challenge here.

Very nice place for art lovers. Excellent collection of various types of art and paintings of eminent artists of Bengal. All the art pieces and sculptures are nicely displayed and well decorated. Employees engaged for visitors' assistance are helpful.
