In winter, this water land had have a new look with full of migratory bird, mainly from Europe and Siberia. Years after years they come following the nature clock. But last few years birds are detracked by the mobile tower. And also the water is going to be polluted day by day. This is Very well connected and well known place of Howrah.

The place was pretty cool once upon a time. Now it has reduced to a pond full of water hyacinth. Although few birds do visit the place, but they are better left alone. Else they too will leave for someplace else.

Indian Railway ruined the beauty of this place. Lack of proper management and planning lead to unbearable urination foul smell. People from outside of santragachi, all takes a chance to urinate in the open as there is no public toilets available.

Good water bodies by the side of Santragachi Railway Station. Good to see and nice to enjoy. In winter different birds come here. Railway authority should ascertain to maintain this water body.

It a ideal place to walk and enjoy. It's look like an ornament of environment and nature. It is also very useful for ecological demand.
