Belur Math, sprawling over forty acres of land on the western bank of the Hooghly (Ganga), in Howrah district, an hour’s drive from Kolkata, is a place of pilgrimage for people from all over the world professing different religious faiths. Even people not interested in religion come here for the peace it exudes. It was at Belur Math that Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902), the foremost disciple of Sri Ramakrishna (1836-1886), lived the last years of his brief life. He consecrated the grounds in 1898 by worshipping the urn containing the sacred relics of Sri Ramakrishna, which he himself carried on his shoulders to the place of worship.

It's very small railway station. Only Howrah to BelurMath Trains are available. Four trains in a day . But you can get buss from here. Mini bus , 54, 56 , also available buses for Goriahath . only one way road for Traffic. You can also get Auto, Toto, Rickshaw for traveling. A beautiful Heritage of Belur is Here Named BelurMath, please visit here

This is a very small railway station. A very few trains are running between Howrah Station and Belur Math Station in the morning and in the evening only. But it is a very useful to people, especially the tourists who visit the famous Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur, Howrah. The design and structure of the railway station has been prepared in corroborated with Ramakrishna Math & Mission. It's a fine looking.
