Love this landmark of Vadanamkurussi. Even though the rail from Shoranur to Nilambur was built during British era, this station was inaugurated in 1979. It is a major connecting station for rail passengers to access Palakkad - Ponnani highway. Those who wish to reach Malappuram Dist. (Cherukara, Angadippuram - Perintalmanna, Melattur, Pattikkad, Nilambur etc. ) very easily this station is the best option.

This is a passenger train station.literally small one.you can catch trains to nilambur and shoranur from here.the first train to nilambur at 7.10.there is trains for every two or three hour.the station locates near the palakkad kula pullu highway.people can catch buses to guruvayoor or palakkad from this bus stop.at mansion time the station looks very beautiful but have less amineties

Though a very small railway station, i was surprised to see it spotlessly clean even very late evening. One need walk about 600mtr to the station from main road though there is some shortcuts not suited for women or elderly people.nnEven though there were good number of passenger to travel there was no one at ticket counter and the station master was acting like a ticket vendor as well. There was only one counter.
