Today on Jim’s birthday I would like to express how I love his gurney house. Although it belongs to the Dalamias now the heritage is protected still. The horns of antelopes and photos of Robin the dog and himself is remarkable. There is also a great view of Nainital from there. A must visit for all jungle lovers and fans of this ‘angrez shikari’!!

This is a pilgrimage, remembering a man - who loved Indians and Indian wildlife, more than any Indian. For a great writer too. It seems to me that Corbett has just gone outside for a while.
