Salkhan Fossils Park

A historical place to visit in the middle of a very small forest. Think the government should work more on beautifying the place for its visitors. Only conserving fossils by the fence is not sufficient. But great place to visit

Perfect place to hangout with friends and family 😊 you can spend hours here and make sure you are ready to walk for about 1 km to reach the place. If you are nature lover you will love this place and find the fossils structures amazing too.

Its good place to brainstorm origin of life on earth. One can see 150 cr years old fossils spread all over in park. Nice place to visit.

Highly disappointed to see these valuable pieces to be kept under no minimum security. There is no connecting road and overall condition of the area is miserable. Expected something better from the Govt.

As history says one of the oldest fossils found here. It's said fossils are 150cr year old, if you are traveling sonebhadra you must visit, ideally it will not take more than half n hour to visit, only thing it's not properly maintained, at starting Fossils are covered by fence, local said guard is having key and if you ask he will open the lock and you can view from inside.only thing if you lucky than you will find guard, as we were there for almost 3hr but guard didn't turn up It's approx 1.5km from main road.but that 1.5km road are not maintained. I think authority shoud maintain this and promote as tourist destination.
