I was there at the time of harvesting of keshar(saffron). The view was pleasant and the tiny keshar flower looks so magnificent..

We were returning from our leh ladakh trip and thought to buy some locally grown kesar.nChecked TripAdvisor, Quora and maps and finally came to this shop in pampore. As it was only 45 min from Srinagar airport , we took our chances in pursuit of original kesar.nnThis shop in inside a house and you won't be able to spot it from our car but the gps coordinates were very accurate. Ask locals for king brand shop which is inside a home.nnThe uncle was very sweet. Offered us water. Showed the best kesar they have got. They happened to be wholesalers and gave us the distributor rate of 150/- per gm. Bought 20gms and checked youtube for kesar cold water test back home in Bangalore and I am glad it passed the test.nnFinally our 2 hours extra distance for original pampore kesar was worth it.
