The place where Kolumban's body rests, the tribal person showed the location for Idukki Arch Dam to the English Engineers. Kolumban Samadhy is a monument built to commemorate a tribal person named Kolumban, who is gives the idea to implement Idukki Hydro Electric Project and the primary information’s about these places gives to the Malankara Estate Supernatant. Kolumban Samadhty is in Vellappara, 2 Km away from Idukki to Thodupuzha road.

The inauguration should be conducted at the earliest. Kolumban was a poor tribesman, hence no fees or donation should be collected by Government or SC/ST SAMITHIS/DTPC
