Campper Kolukkumalai Base Camp

The route to the Base camp is through the road to Capithans Bungalow. That road ends in the base camp. They have around 20 tents set up in various levels of the backyard of a building which is under construction. It will soon finish construction, then they might start tent plus rooms facility. The view from the tent is Spectacular, if it’s not cloudy.nnThe ambiance is good if we are travelling in a group. We can sing or play games without bothering others. The campfire is set at the bottom of the hill on the side, which is a bit inconvenient. Cars need to be parked in a row, which may cause issues if someone needs to leave early.nnThe cooking was not done in the base camp when I visited the place. The dinner was minimal, so was the breakfast. But they promised they will start cooking in there itself once the building finishes construction. All the staffs are friendly and courteous.nnI tent ground needs some fixing because my group felt like they are sleeping in an awkward position because of the uneven ground. Otherwise it’s a good and awesome place to be to enjoy the view and hangout with your loved ones.

A must visit place to have a memorable experiencenTruly an amazing place to take your breath away. In the middle of the nature, overlooking the tea estate, gazing at the stars, you’ll feel most relaxed and alive. The food served was great but unfortunately had less options as they are still planning to add on local and more flavours s to their food options. The staff was very helpful and humble, The Camp is still to be developed and to make guest have more memorable and funfilled stay they will be organising certain day time activities like zip lining, net climbing, rope walk in the future. In the evening, to keep you warm a bonfire is lit near the tent when if u wish u can enjoy ur dinner with ur family and friends , Truly a memorable experience and my first I’ve ever had being at the camp site. Definitely a must visit place for everyone, Kudos to the Host Mr. SAJU & MR. ABHIJEET.
