Living Root Bridge

Longest Living Root Bridge is Worth visiting and Can not be missed if you are in OR around Shillong. It's a natural phenomena. One has to climb down almost 3000 steps and climb up to reach back to parking place, so better to spend entire day here along with visit to Double decker Living root Bridge, and Rainbow Waterfall. Food either has to be carried or Order in small shops. Maggie, Rice, Tea will be easily available.

Just awesome place.every place you see is mind blowing.one have to go down 2000 stairs for single living root bridge.for this total 4000 stairs up and down.single living root bridge is the longest living root bridge.on the way take sufficient water.I recommend to have center fresh during this journey.it will reduce thirst.And for double root bridge one have to go 3500 stair down and total 7000 stairs up and down.guide charge 700 rs.though there is no need to take guide but we have taken him to carry our small bags.one should practice leg exercises before some days of going here.otherwise after treking this route legs become numb..nOne should experience this in their lifetime...

I don’t know how to describe this place. It is really very unique place to visit. It will take in average 5-6 hours to cover this place. There might be around 6000 plus stairs which one has to cross to reach the place. There is one single and one double root bridge. The experience was quite phenomenal. You can not miss this place when you are in Cherrapunji. It will be good if you can plan this trip in a single day. There will be guide who will go with you in chargeable basis. You should cover single , double , blue lagoon and rainbow falls in this trek.nI will definitely recommend you to carry enough water with you. The stairs were very steep and it will require ample amount of rest while trekking from down to up.

You won't believe a thing like that can exist unless you see it yourself! Climbing up is a hectic job for most the mortal beings after visiting the mesmerizing Living Root Bridge, but the effort you put is worthy for seeing a bridge made by tangled roots of two different trees.
