Beautiful Place with forests of Pine, Birch and Rhododendron. Situated at 2286 mt in the lap of eastern himalayas, and on the Singalila ridge trek route, it is 15 km from the second highest peak of west bengal named Phalut(3600m). A serene, lonely village with awesome inhabitants who are very warm and friendly. From Gorkhey onw can visit Samanden (2350m), which is only 1 km hike from Gorkhey. One can descend to Rammam to get a car.
