Club Mahindra Yercaud, Tamil Nadu

The property is absolutely beautiful. I love the fact that this place is pet friendly. The only thing I was disappointed about was the maintenance. The property wasn't maintained to the Club Mahindra Standard. The rooms didn't have water kettle. I was present when the room was being cleaned, the cleaning process was equal to not cleaning itself. The food at the restaurant was not good at all. I loved the live pizza where there was wood-fired oven. The pizza tasted good.

The rooms had a weird smell.the floor was not cleaned. The bathrooms were dirty. The couch was torn and the sponge was all coming off. The pillows were so hard.the floor was not mopped in ages I can guarantee.The blankets were too dusty. Maybe it’s just the room we got which was this bad. We even decided to vacate and shift to a better place but decided to stay for a day and cut short our days at the resort and returned a day early.The property boast about its heritage which even I agree. Atleast give it that respect by keeping the rooms clean and by maintaining what the beauty they have with them.the restaurant floor was way too sticky and not cleaned.the plates turned yellowish white. Had to keep searching for a clean plate from the stack. The staff is very polite and ever ready to help you. I have to say Mr Prince was very helpful. I liked the staff and must say that I did enjoy their hot pizzas. I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone.. please do try to dust and mop the rooms.

The place is really gets you close to nature.nAmazing ambience and wonderful experience. The only drawback I would say is the neatness of the room and the amenities provided inside the rooms !!nFor the people who don't love dogs , a note - few stray dogs roam around te property that may annoy some of them !!

liked the ambience and less complex retreat.ncould have kid / toddler specific food options.nalso concentrated more on north cuisine - may be a conscious decisionni mistook it to be a resort though, but it is antique hotel.nhotel staff are friendly and service is good

This was our third trip to Yercaud. And third stay in Club Mahindra . Lake Forest Hotel which has a tie up with Club Mahindra accommodates Club Mahindra members. It is a property set in colonial estate with every effort made in restoring and maintaining the traditions. Each room speaks volumes on European legacy with period furniture and ambience. Facilities are excellent. I would rate this trip as the best since we were taken care of so well. Running and maintaining facilities during this difficult time is a challenge. Lake forest came up trumps. We would like to place our special thanks to the entire staff specially the F& B team who took special care of us since we had a small child with us. Menus were curated and prepared.
