Beautiful, quant old temple. Wonderfully maintained, not overly restored.nThe detailed carving is gorgeous, both outside the temple and on pillars inside.nIt is also connected to the panagal archaeological museum.

Great experience - The temples dates to 11th to 12th centuries of Kakatiya Empire!! Kudos to ASI and generations to have kept the sanctity!!

Lord Shiva temple,Amazing architecture, highly peaceful and devotional, a lot of mantra chanting and abhishekam, a lot of open area to have food, sir and spend some time here, not many people know about this temple, carvings on pillers is too good, good for weekend trip from Hyderabad, some 100 km distance, mesmerizing experience, it is unfortunate that no washrooms close to temple area

This temple is believed to have been constructed during the 11th or the 12th century. The idol is made of green (paccha in Telugu) onyx, hence the name.nThe carvings on the gopurams and the pillars within are intricate and depict incidents from the lives of Lord Shiva & Lord Vishnu.nSeveral scenes from the two great epics the Mahabharata and the Ramayana are sculpted onto the walls of the temple.nIt is located about a kilometre away from another ancient temple the Chaya Someshwar Temple, in the village of Panagallu a few kilometres away from the Nalgonda bus stand.
