This Ashrama at Midnapore, was established in 1914 at its present location by a group of local devotees, who were inspired by Sri Sarat Chandra Chakraborty, a direct disciple of Swami Vivekananda. Sri Chakraborty was then working as the Superintendent of the Post Office in Midnapore.its initial stages, the Ashrama was a small Sevashrama housed in a small two-storeyed building with the shrine and the monks’ quarters on the first floor and the office on the second floor. The building had been gifted to the Ashrama by the Narajole Raj family of the district.(Courtsey: Google)nnThe school is affiliated to the west Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.nThe Ramakrishna Mission Vidyabhavan, Midnapore, was set up on 19th August, 1948 with the aim of giving a proper shape to some of the educational ideals of Swami Vivekananda.(Courtsey : Google)nnI visit this place often .The prime reason being I am an avid reader and I love reading the books specifically published by the organisation.nAnother reason being the inner peace ☮ufe0f that I experience everytime I sit in the big hall .The surroundings and the environment brings in an inner peace that in unexplainable and indescribable.
