This museum has preserved many thing of French lifestyle... But inside of the museum there are no permission for taking photo.... You can only watch by you own eyes... And they don't permit anyone to touch anything... But very well maintained museum....

The Dupleix Palace - Chandan Nagar is one of the oldest and finest museums of the entire region. It boasts a beautiful collection of French items (e.g cannons used in Anglo - French war, wooden furniture of the 18th century, etc.) which are difficult to find anywhere else in the world. The institute still teaches French through regular classes.

It was the only official building of French acquired Chandannagar from where French rulers of Bengal provide their service and served to people in pre-freedom era of Bengal. Now it is converted into a beautiful museum and marinated by Archeological Survey of India. Here you can found the total french revolution of Bengal and their lives. If you want to know Bengal as well as Chandannagar you've to visit this place once. A beautiful place for you and your family for a lovely historical trip.
