First of all I love French songs, soprano, opera music, since 2015 I have stated visiting this place. Every year I go there, on January 1this year I went there too. That place attracts me so much. Not only the museum, the resident of former governor, I like, also the cleaned roads, heritage buildings. A well maintained place ever I have seen in West Bengal. A little piece of France remains here.nnAnd French cemetery is located by a lake. It’s called “ Gorosthan “ to Auto-Ricksha drivers.nnI was learning French language as well in basic level, nasal pronunciation makes this language so sweeter.nnFrench culture is an art.nnThis place deserves 10 stars ⭐ufe0f.

Institut de Chandernagore, also known as Dupleix Palace, is one of the oldest museums of West Bengal. It boasts of a collection of rare French antiques, such as cannons used in the Anglo-French wars (popularly known as the Carnatic wars), personal belongings of French governor generals, and wooden furniture dating back to the 18th century, which are difficult to find anywhere else in the world. Exhibits include items used by Dupleix (the Governor General of French India), such as a marble bust of himself, and relics of the French colonial and local history of Chandannagar. Photography is prohibited, videography is also prohibited .
