Barrackpore is enveloped in rich sophisticated culture and a treasure trove of history. It is also one of the most developed regions in West Bengal. Bedside these, many great events have been occurred in this place and it is also the birthplace of many great and famous people and personalities. Barrackpore is also the home to numerous educational institutions and a wide variety of transportation network providing easy access to many adjoining and distant places. Due to the presence of many industries making it an industrial subdivision. Barrackpore also looks like a second Kolkata due to the innumerable shops and many malls and restaurants. The place is very safe and has a good livable condition. Barrackpore is the headquarter of the highly urbanised Barrackpore subdivision. Despite Army cantonment, police headquarter and Air Force is the biggest landscape of Barrackpore but there are also many places worth visiting which is sure to add a charm of happiness and will lift your mood up. Good place .busy railway station in north 24 parganas. Well connected by bus train. Derry service also running here .this is mainly jute industrial area.

My birth place. I have grown up here. Its kind of small town. You will get all amenities here. Its in suburban of Kolkata. You will get most of the required things here to live a simple life. But don't compare it with a city.
