Pretty awesome place. The second oldest Synagogue in the western hemisphere! The Synagogue floor is covered with sand. You'd think it's because the of the tropical location but actually it's just to make the service quite. The guide your is amazing. They are open for tourists again since the October 2020. Must see.

A hit of history in STT, quaint but worth the climb up the hill. Get a tour if u can.

Was lucky to walk in on a tour of the place. Very interesting information on Judaism's history in the Caribbean

This was a delightful stop that was unexpectedly educational. If you have a history buff in your crew? You gotta stop here. The synagogue is adorned with fixtures from 16th century and even one menorah from the 11th century. Agi, the docent, was so hospitable and warm. She shared the history of how Sephardic Judaism came to the New World and St. Thomas. The sand floor has a beautiful significance, and she opened the ark for us to see the Torah scrolls. The gift shop was a nice end to an interesting visit and gave us an opportunity to support the synagogue's worship life.

Lovely welcoming Reform congregation. Rabbi Michael Feshbach is wise and charming and his sermons are quite interesting. Spent the high holidays there this year and it was magic!
