Tenzing Hillary Memorial Park – The park was inaugurated in 2015 to add to the attraction of Uttarey, West Sikkim.

It was the starting point for our Phokteydara trek. Located in Uttarey, west Sikkim, it is the best tribute to sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the first people to summit Mount Everest. On clear days, you can see the Kanchenjungha range from the park. It's in dire need of looking after, the bathrooms and the restaurant are out of order and it has fallen into disuse. Please don't climb on the statues, they're there to please the eyes.
