It's a thrilling journey from port blair to baratang in between which some portion is Jarwa reserve forest. From Jirkatang check post to baratang is a restrickted area where photography is prohibited and you can see the people of Jarwa. We had the good luck to see them 6 to 7 times through our journey. Sometime they stand in the middle of the road to stop cars but drivers don't stop.Friendly drivers alert passengers of them. The journey through the forest may be monotonous but driving through up and down path and some bends are really thrilling. don't forget to take sufficient water and food for you may not have the time to sit at shops and shops are distant. don't try to give food to Jarwas or don't stop or you will be punished if caught by guards.

It's a dense forest ,we are accompanied by police convoy..,no stopping point, might spot jarwa tribes if lucky..,nice experience to visit via limestone cave and mud volcano

Dence forest with beautiful scenic view. We were lucky enough to spot several jarwah tribal people. In between the travel they ask for food. But dont feed them as it is not allowed. No photography allowed as they can attack on you. And there is jail for that of 3 years and 10000 rupees and u dont get bail also. The road is quite bad. Make sure your driver has a spare wheel in car. And no two wheelers allowed here.

Relatively untouched, the jarawa forest is lush, clean and amazingly simple. The only road that goes through here is the grand trunk road, and you can spot the jarawa tribespeople multiple times.nnBe mindful, you're not allowed to photograph or interact in any way with them and this is strongly enforced.nnMany police officers and the anthropologists patrol the place, and interact with the locals. Definitely a must have experience.

Best place in andamans, amazing dense forest specifically reserved for the Jarawas, an ancient tribe of Andamans. You are not allowed to enter without permit and there are some neccesary formalities only after which you can enter the forest with convoy, if lucky you may spot jarawas. You are supposed to stick to the rules and regulations strictly else you will face severe legal actions.
