We didn't have much time, unfortunately. After stopping at the visitor center and the main river overlooks we drove to Cucumber falls parking lot. It was on a Wednesday but the parking lot was full, so we parked on Middle Ridge Rd and walked from there to Cucumber Falls, after that we took the Great Gorge trail to Meadow Run. We saw river rapids and wildflowers and boaters on the way there. The natural slide at Meadow Run is really long and there were many young people having fun in this area. It was a great summer time experience and we felt like we have seen enough of the park in this short time. FYI the parking lots at Cucumber falls and Meadow run have no bathrooms so if you need one you need to go to the visitor center

Beautiful park but come early, it can get VERY crowded...

The place is beautiful and peaceful. There are many upgrades taking place that will make a great place even better. Go early as it gets quite busy and I was there during the week. Weekends are probably even more packed. It's still easy to find a nice place to sit and relax. Plenty of benches, but bring a folding camp chair or blanket to sit on just in case. Enjoy yourself.

Beautiful scenery with the river and waterfall right through the middle of the town. The village is quaint and cute with great little mom and pop restaurants and eateries. The white water rafting is an awesome way to spend the afternoon! For those who are less daring, there are miles of great hiking and biking trails too.
