Sawmill Campground

This place is absolutely amazing!! We originally booked a stay for 4 days but ended up extending an additional week. This was our first time here and had such a great time. The staff truly made you feel welcomed and the activities were some of the best. We really enjoyed the drag shows and Monday night bingo! We can't wait to get back!!

We are on a 1 year RV trip across North America and stopped here for a few weeks due to the amazing reviews and its geographic proximity to several key tourist attractions in Florida including Clearwater Beach, Orlando, several state parks,, and Cape Canaveral.nnWe had an excellent stay at Sawmill. First and foremost, the staff was amazing. Each and every person we met was great and that is one of the most memorable parts of our stay.nnThe pool is heated - which is welcome when the weather is a bit cool but you still want to take a dip. The bar and cafe on the pool grounds is one of the best parts of the park - with regular hours (even weekdays), great drinks, and good food.nnBathroom and shower facilities were cleaned regularly and both hot water and high water pressure were always available.nnOn weekends they have a slate of events that allows residents and visitors to interact and meet one another.nnWe loved our time at Sawmill and will certainly visit again in the future!

Always a great experience!! Have been coming here since it opened many years ago, with never a bad experience!! Staff is always pleasant and attentive! No pressure atmosphere. The one and only concern this visit was that the permanent structures, and picnic eating tables at Splash, had more of that central Florida mold and mildew than desired. But we do understand the location of the Campground, and it's constant maintenance under these conditions. Will definitely return!!

As far as gay camping resort to go, I would say this is definitely one of the best. This is a great escape from the everyday life and connect with nature as well as enjoying some amenities. Great place to meet friendly people and have a good time. If you can go during one of their phone parties I highly suggest it

Let me start by saying, overall I always have a good time and enjoy my stay. The main reason for my rating is the fact that it seems like I'm being robbed everytime I go.nnI called a few weeks ago and scheduled a tent reservation for two on the weekend of 10/23 and again on 11/13. The lady I spoke with gave me a total and charged my credit card.nnWhile I was checking in on 10/23 I was informed that I was not charged for two people even though my reservation said two. I paid the extra amount I was told on Friday. On Sunday after I checked out, I stopped to change my tent site for the weekend of 11/13. Again I was told that the incorrect amount was collected and was charged more.nnThis has really become a problem anytime I stay with my partner. On more then one occasion after staying in a cabin or after getting a cabana, we have been told that we were charged the wrong amount and owed more.nnI understand with the upgrades around the camp, the cost of things may increase but it seems like pricing are being changed after the reservation is made and then someone decided to collect.nnWhen I asked why I was being charged again on Friday and Sunday, I was given some run around answers, and was never given a direct answer so I just paid and left.nnAt this point I will be returning because I already have a reservation set up and they don't give refunds. Depending how my trip in November goes, I may not be returning.nnAlso when I emailed someone about this issue, I never received a response. That speaks volumes to me when it comes to customer service.
