If a balanced diet is made up of seven essential nutrients, then a balanced life is made up of two essential elements—ups & downs, in & outs, profits & losses, failures & triumphs, happiness & sadness. Life is not linear, it is wavy; there are upward modulations and downward modulations, upward swings and downward swings. “For everything there is a season”nnSome days you feel up, some days you feel down. The “highest highs” and the “lowest lows” of our lives are what keeps it in balance. Life is full of movements, even when you sleep you don’t remain at one position forever, you turn from time to time—it’s only the dead that doesn’t move. Know that you won’t remain at the top forever, neither will you remain at the bottom forever. Your life is neither too sorrowful or too joyous, it is balanced.nnLife is a balancing act; we’re all moving on a tightrope to our destination. To keep moving forward you’ll experience falling moments and standing moments, pauses and continuity. A roller-coaster ride is exciting because momentarily you’re up and momentarily you’re down. Appreciate your happy moments and learn from your sad moments—they’re what makes life exciting. Water does not move in one direction but it always gets to its destination with persistence. Your life will not move in one direction, but you shall get to your destination if you keep moving with faith. Praise God when you find yourself at the mountain top, trust God when you find yourself at the bottom of the valley.
