Shankar Memorial National Cartoon Museum and Art Gallery

The National Cartoon Museum and Art Gallery, set up as a tribute to doyen of Indian political cartooning K Shankara Pillai at his hometown here, has been opened for visitors.A collection of cartoons drawn by Shankar and drawing material and tools he used were handed over to the museum by his family members

It's a beautiful Kerala style construction. I think this is the first cartoon museum in India. Very interesting place to visit , it's a tribute memorial museum for cartoonist Shankar. Nicely arranged and good place for art lovers. The museum is notable from the main road.

Good place for kids and groups.

A nice quiet museum, well constructed and airy, accessible from highway. Let everyone see the various sculptures & paintings and introspect. Entrance fee is only Rs 10/- per head.nCartoonist Shankar's workdesk & chair, and his easy chair also exhibited, along with some of his works..

Very calm and quiet place even though it is facing national highway. Was there for a cartoon exhibition of my friend and this place depicts memories of great cartoonist Shankar
