This place is almost 2 km away from Hazarduari palace or approximately 3.4 km away from Murshidabad railway station... The cemetery is still active till today.... All members of Mir Jafar's family (including him and his wife) are still buried in this cemetery... Over 1000 of graves are there.... Need some maintenance here...

Jafarganj Cemetery was built by Mir Jafarover an area of 3.51 acres within an enclosure of waved walls, about half a mile north to the Nizamat Fort Campus and inside the campus of Namak Haram Deorhi. It hosts the graves of the later Nawabs of Bengals of the Najafi dynasty, starting from Mir Jafar, and their family members while Khushbagh, which was built by Nawab Alivardi Khan, hosts the graves of the Nawabs of Bengal belonging to the Afshar dynasty and their family members. At present this graveyard is controlled and maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.

Opposite the Deuri, 1.5 km north of Hazarduari is the Zafraganj Cemetery. There are more than 1000 burial sites of Mirzafar and his family here. Located about a mile from Hazarduari Palace is the Jafarganj Complex. Mir Jafar originally built his palace in this three and a half acre land. But now the place serves as a cemetery for Mir Jafar and many family members of his. Along the gate, third from the eastern end lied Mirzafar. Mir Jafar's father Syud Ahmed Nazafi, Alivardi Khan's sister, Shahkhanum, Mir Jafar's widows, Munni Begam and Babbu Begam are some of the important people buried in the area. A must visiting places in Murshidabad.
