Baneswar Shiva Temple

Excellent temple for the Hindu devotees. This is famous for the primitive pond with age-old tortoises 🐢 . Very nice ambience with calm atmosphere all around. It has been a privilege to have visited the temple and found one old tortoise to walk down to the pond from a freelance site in a rural village along the street. Also, there are many shops nearby with plenty of different items at display for sale including household chores and food. Parking space is available too. People are just cordial and helpful as well. One may like to revisit the place time and again.

This place was quite calm and peaceful when I visited... unlike other temples which is chaotic...one can sit beside the temple pond which is again a breeding place for giant tortoises called ' madan' locally and is considered to be holy... this is a place with great historical significance mixed with spirituality and positive vibes... suggested to visit in early morning hours...
