The trek to the rainbow falls was a long one but the best experience ever! The crystal clear water, the beautiful rainbow falls, everything was just perfect!nP.S. you gotta reach the falls by 2 pm, otherwise you won't be able to witness the rainbow that is formed behind the falls as seen in the photos!

during rainy season, the trek to Double Decker Living Root Bridge, El Waterfall and rainbow waterfall will be difficult - from tyrna village, you have to walk 3000 steps down and later climb 3000 steps up... total 15 kilometer trek...

One of the more remote waterfalls you will have the pleasure of visiting in Meghalaya.nNon-touristy, in the middle of the jungle and tiring to reach.nnIt is advisable to visit the waterfall if you have a place to stay overnight in Nongriat.nThe trek is strenuous as it involves first climbing down from Tyrna to Double decker root bridge.nFrom there it is a 2-3 hour trek further ( dont believe what others say !!).nPeople start walking back from Rainbow waterfalls at around 4-5pm in the evening.nnAmazing falls with a mini-pool at the base !
