The Bar at Floatel Hotel, which is one of the unique in it's kind eco friendly hotel, located in between the river Hoogly waters, opposite to the Local Head Office of State Bank of India, next to the Millennium Park on the prestigious Strand Road, Kolkata.nThe hotel offers, Sunset and Sunrise rooms. the Sunset rooms are located on the river side and you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Hoogly river from the room. The rooms are not compact but provides you a unique experience. Staff is courteous and professional. But hotel needs to work more for overall cleanliness and service response time.nRestaurant serves quality and tasty food and provides a option for dine in with beautiful River view.

The floating hotel. One needs to cross a railway line to enter the lobby and then go to the ship which is permanently anchored and has the rooms. Since space is at premium the room size is very small but is generally comfortable. You can see Hooghly touching your rooms and we had a view of both the Howrah Bridge and the Vidyasagar bridge from our window. The steamers keep passing by on their ride and you suddenly realize strangers peeping into your room through the window - it is that close. They had an amazing collection of tea Darjeeling supplied from Dolly Tea and I had to ask for refills of tea sachets.

Food took 1 hr plus... First floor is on renovation..avoid till renovated

nice accommodation... good place for party... weedings..and other get together....but taste of food is slightly different...
