Hotel Golden Heights Enclave

At first you will think of it as a below average hotel just 50 metres away from darjeeling chaurasta. However, the staff is welcoming, food is great and the view just awesome. Do ask for one of the suites in the hotel it offers great view and wooden decor. Restaurant also has a great view from the top. I would like to visit again for the service and view.

This hotel is located just below the Sinclair hotel. Location wise, it is very near to Keventer's Darjeeling. It's on the 5th floor. You can have a great view of Kanchenjunga from it's dining room and the rooftop. It has a lift too, so that you don't have to take the staircase. Price is very reasonable subject to it's amenities (Covid period?). I went there only last week (7/11/2020). Food is very good. People working there are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there a lot.

We went to this hotel in March and booked at the last moment because we wanted to extend our stay for a few more days. The hotel is situated in an apartment building off Gandhi Road. Their is lift upto the fifth floor. The two-storeyed hotel itself starts there. I have mixed reactions about this hotel. The negative things are: first of all, the rooms are highly over-priced. We were given a standard room which cost like a deluxe room. The room itself was not deluxe type at all. Only one charging point was working. All the others were non-functioning. The floor was quite dusty. In fact, the comforter had a layer of dust too. Clear signs that the room was not cleaned properly. The room had a tiny window behind a pillar. So basically, I was unable to see outside properly all throughout the sojourn. There was no electric kettle either. Basically, the room was highly over-priced. The positive sides are: the food was good. The staff members, especially the person at the reception and two other members were very genial and helpful. I crave Tibetan and Nepalese hospitality, and their hospitality was extremely good. In fact, I must say what they didn't offer in the room, they compensated with their warmth.

Nice rooms, good food and a 360° view of Darjeeling city along with Mt.Kangchenjunga from the balcony. Try to stay at Attic room for best view...
