It was a wonderful experience,but the place was insulted by people who wore slippers and went inside.nBut still worth travelling from Singapore to Delhi.nI specially came from Singapore to India to see it.

Beautiful mosque but in ruins. Not maintained as no prayers taking place in it. Sad state of affairs as sanctity of mosque is not protected. It is being insulted by people wearing shoes and writing graffiti all over it.

This mosque build by the Shershah Suri ruler of Afghan dynasty Sur. This mosque is a good example of a composite architecture and bule tiles and qurtz ston used. At time of partition when purana qila area converted into a refugee camp this mosque use as school building for refugee children.
