Best government collage for local students in Darjeeling.

First time I visited his college was in 2016 for some official works.Lying in a tremendous beautiful site this college is not only an educational hub in the hill area but also a place to vist for its architechture and liveliness.Labs, classrooms and the attached canteens were great.My visit was really awsome.

Darjeeling Government College is a co-educational government-funded college which was established in the year 1948. The college offers 15 bachelor’s degree courses and 4 master degree courses under its three faculty. The college offers the following courses : BA (Honors) in 8 specialization. BSc (Honors) in 6 specialization. B.Com (Honors) in Accountancy. BA, BSc, and B.Com- General courses. The admission to these courses is given on merit-basis. Darjeeling Government College offers an MA in English and Nepali, and MSc in Botany and Zoology. The college has a total of 33 seats in each course. The application process for UG & PG programs is almost the same. The application form is made available on the website of the college. However, no fees must be paid for registration or filing up the form. Once the merit list is published, then after selected candidates must submit their documents for e-verification. Documents to be attached along with the application form are listed below: Passport-sized photo Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or Graduation (as applicable) Age proof certificate Physically handicapped certificate Caste Certificate The College has been recognized by University Grants Commission since a long time. This College is counted among the top-rated Colleges in West Bengal with an excellent academic track record. Darjeeling Government College amongst other colleges in the hills provides an excellent platform for all aspiring students from all over and some of the passed out students are holding some great positions across the world.

It is only one government college in Darjeeling...not in good condition..but the standard of education , actually they provide is quite good
