The sanctuary is part of district Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh. The area is 3089 hectares and is part of Moorang town. The sanctuary was established in the year 1974.nnThere is wide range of flora and fauna in the area of this forest as there is varied elevation, different climatic situation and the topographical type of weather found in the vicinity of Lippa Asrang wildlife sanctuary. This type of weather conditions thus helps in the survival of different type of species that are housed in the sanctuary. The sanctuary has diversified wildlife that forms the part of the sanctuary.nnThe wild species of animal like Snow leopard,Yak, Ibex, Blue Sheep, Himalayan Musk Deer, Goral, Brown Bear and Himalayan Black Bear are housed in the sanctuary.
